AOL uses the following guidelines to define and measure allowable rich media file weight specifications:

Initial Max File Size - The total weight of all advertising content that is delivered prior to the document complete, onload event of the page.

Sub Load Max File Size - The total weight of any secondary or subsequently loaded calls that are only delivered after the document complete, onload event of the page.

Polite Load - Any secondary or subsequent calls which are only made after the document complete / onload event of the page. AOL does not consider subsequent calls made immediately after the initial ad call (or even after a brief delay, prior to the document complete), onload page event, Polite Loads. Such subsequent calls are considered a part of the Initial Max File Size.
