Wallpaper
The ad-served wallpaper offers advertisers the opportunity to brand a web site for a day by leveraging traditionally unused portions of the page. Rendering out of a 728x90, the wallpaper covers the left and right hand rails on a page as well as a header area at the top of the page, replacing the 728x90 leaderboard banner.
Rails must be "clickable".
Wallpaper Sizes:
AOL/The Huffington Post - Header: 1000x90, Rails: 140x900.
Moviefone - Header: 980x90, Rails: 140x900.
Please see the Rich Media Showcase for additional demos
NOTE: Prior creative approval needed on any Wallpapers on TechCrunch and Engadget. Please consult your AOL Sales rep for more information.
Screen Resolution: Resolution settings at or below 1024x768 will cause cut off since the gutter extends down about 900px (+additional space for the browser headers). Resolution height needs to be at least 900-1000 to view the Wallpaper Rails properly in a browser.
Keep key messaging/creative within the top 700 pixels, and 140 width, to account for resolution and potential cut off on screens by browser toolbars. Outside of safe area should be background color or imagery only.
NOTE: See the example in the preview section above, as a guideline for an optimal view of creative messaging.
